 MARINE MAINTENANCE

HOW TO
MAINTAIN YOUR SHINE!

After applying Coating, it is important to let the coating fully cure before getting the boat wet or putting the boat back in the water. A full cure of our coatings is between 24-48 hours. If the boat gets wet or rained on during the curing process, dry the boat as soon as possible, and avoid leaving the boat to air dry to prevent potential water spots on the surface.

DO:

Use high quality soaps

Use high quality waxes or polymers

Regular fresh water rinsing

Use XL chamois to dry

Use new brush/towel

Maintenance Si02 Spray

DO NOT:

Use bleach

Use dish soaps

Use detergents

Use abrasive brushes

Use compound (or 2 in 1 cleaners)

HOW TO
PREVENT RUSTED METALS

Did you know?

If rust is left untreated, it will eat away at the vessel's structural integrity. In addition, the salt found in both the air and the water when out on the ocean will contribute to the degradation of any exposed surfaces of the boat, as well as the growth of corrosive organisms that will latch on to it

We recommend:

Keep it clean:

After use, wash your boat thoroughly with clean water & high quality marine soap.

Then, gently dry with a clean towel.

Invest in a cover:

Exposure to the elements causes wear and tear as well as accelerating rust, so keep it covered, out of the sun and dry whenever possible.

Apply professional metal ceramic coating.

HOW TO
PREVENT OXIDATION

Did you know?

Oxidation is the chalky, porous appearance that is the result of unprotected and/or neglected Gelcoat or paint.

This process is mainly caused by damage from UV rays which slowly breaks down unprotected gelcoat and other surfaces.

We recommend:

The use of marine grade compounds will quickly and effectively remove oxidation from the surface exposing fresh gel coat and fiberglass.

Pro Ceramic Coating after oxidation is the most logical and cost-effective of all, especially when you want to preserve your gelcoat and keep oxidation at bay.

HOW TO
PREVENT WATERLINE & HULL BUILDUP

Did you know?

Boats used in salt water are prone to accumulating salt deposits at and below the waterline. These salt deposits trap dirt that stain and discolor the hull.

We recommend:

HULL Pro- A Revolutionary Clear Choice!

Hull Pro decreases or eliminates the need for regular bottom painting.

Super harsh store bought acids will strip off coatings. Booyah will take off scum line without taking off coatings

HOW TO
PREVENT GLASS MINERAL DAMAGE

Did you know?

The windows on your vessel go through a lot.  Whether it’s driving rain, saltwater splash, UV rays, or even dust and dirt, they tend to build up quite a bit of dirt and grime – and over time, this can cause stains, scratches, and glass damage.

This isn’t limited to the exterior, either. Interior dust, grease from fingerprints, and salty air can damage and oxidize interior glass, just as it damages exterior glass.

We recommend:

After showers or when cleaning any type of glass, dry the surfaces completely to prevent hard water spots from forming.

Use Starke Venom for weekly cleaning to keep deposits from building up.

Move sprinklers away from windows to prevent hard water stain splatters.

Apply professional glass ceramic coating.

HOW TO
PREVENT DAMAGED ISINGLASS

Did you know?

Isinglass, clear vinyl and strataglass require much more care than many other boat parts.

While regular cleaning products can be used on many things aboard, clear enclosure windows require selective cleaning products to continue to be as clear and distortion free as the day you bought them.

We recommend:

The best way to maintain isinglass is to clean with soap and water; then applying a Polymer.

Gently dry with very clean, or a brand new chamois towel.
